ABOUT YOGA (PRANAYAMA AND SURYA NAMSKAR)
WHAT IS YOGA ?
Yoga is an old discipline from India. yoga is a group of physical, mental , and spiritual practices or discipline .
There are many asana in yoga. without tacking any kind of guidance it can harm for us.
1.PRANAYAMA:
Pranayama is the best asana to fight against the corona virus.it boosts our immunity system.
There are the many types of pranayama like anulom-vilom, surya bhedan, kapal bhati.
- ANULOM-VILOM :
Anulom vilom is a specific type of controlled breathing in practice of yoga. first of all ,sit in padmasana and rest your hand on your knees.
close the right nostril with the right thumb. inhale slowly through the left nostril, inhale the oxygen as much you can ,this will fill your lungs with air.
remove your thumb from your right nostril ,as you remove thumb from right nostril just exhale.repeat this process for 5 minites.
- surya bhedan:
surya bhedan ... the purpose of the right nostril breathing is ti increase the pranic energy, the physical energy to revitalise the body.
- It lower stress and improve cardiovascular function. one of main benefit of alrtnate nostril breathing is that it may lower stress.
- It helps to remove any kata imbalance by increasing the body temperature.
- The practise of surya bhedana pranayama helps to increase the vitality of the body.
- KAPAL BHATI :
Kapal bhati also called breath of fire, is an important Shatkarma, a purification in hatha yoga. The word kapalbhati is made up of two Sanskrit words: kapala meaning 'skull',bhati meaning 'shining, illuminating'.
2. SURYA NAMSKAR :
- Surya namaskar is a gesture of showing gratitude or salutation to the sun.
- It is a sequence of 12 important yoga asanas which bring the body, breath and mind together.
- These asanas relax the mind and at the same time improve the flexibility of the spine.
- It improve the posture by stretching and strengthening the muscles, joints and skeletal system.
- It also gives an excellent cardiovascular workout helping one to lose weight.
- With each inhalation and exhalation, the lungs and blood remain thoroughly oxygenated and the body gets detoxified.
- according to experts, it benefits in bringing down the blood sugar levels and keeps heart disease away.
